Report a missed garbage, recycling or yard waste pickup

If your cart was at the curb on time but wasn’t emptied, report it to the City’s Solid Waste Services so a truck can come back.
Ways to do it
What you need
- Your street address
- A phone number
Steps online (phone, tablet or computer)
- Wait until after 5 p.m. on your collection day.
- Open the Missed Collection online form.
- Enter your street address and phone number, choose what was missed, and submit.
- Leave your cart at the curb until it is collected.
Steps by phone
- Call Customer Support at 919-996-3245 during business hours.
- Give your address and say which cart was missed.
Good to know
- Carts should be at the curb from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on your collection day.
- Report between 5 p.m. on your collection day and noon the next day.
- Use the form or call, not both. Doing both creates a duplicate work order.
