- Your utility account number (on your bill)
- The ZIP code of the service address (for phone payments)
- A card, bank account (e-check), or digital wallet
Steps online (phone, tablet or computer)
- Go to Raleigh Water Self-Service.
- Sign in or register for an account, or choose the one-time payment option.
- Enter your payment method and the amount, then submit.
- Save or screenshot the confirmation.

- Have your account number, service ZIP code and payment method ready.
- Call 888-905-3169 and follow the prompts.
Good to know
- Cost: A 3% processing fee applies to payments made by credit card, debit card or digital wallet. Paying by e-check (bank account) avoids that fee.
- Online payments accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, e-check, Venmo, PayPal and PayPal Credit.
- By mail, send a check or money order with your bill stub to City of Raleigh, PO Box 71081, Charlotte, NC 28272-1081. Don’t mail cash, and allow extra time.
- Payments made somewhere other than the official locations can take days or weeks to arrive.
- You enter your own payment details. No one helping you should ever need your card number or password.
